About Dr. Wayne Yamahata

Dr. Yamahata grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of Southern California, where he completed his undergraduate degree and continued graduate training in Health Administration. He then moved on to the University of California, Davis, where he completed his entire medical education, including his medical degree, general surgery, and plastic surgery training, over 12 years. He served as a fellow in clinical nutrition and is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Dr. Yamahata is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), The Aesthetic Society (formerly ASAPS), the American College of Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association, among others. He has held multiple terms as Chief of Plastic Surgery for the Sutter Community Hospitals, the Sutter/River City Health South Surgery Center, and the Greater Sacramento Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a clinical professor of plastic surgery at UC Davis Medical Center.
