Dr. Esra Salihoglu Yener
Dr. Esra Salihoglu Yener obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Marmara in Istanbul, Turkiye, in 2004. She then served as a Research Fellow and Resident in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Yeditepe, and also worked part-time as a general dentist in Istanbul.
She earned her PhD in 2009 with a thesis on zirconia materials at the University of Yeditepe. From 2009 to 2013, Dr. Yener practiced as a prosthodontist in a private setting in Istanbul. To further enhance her skills, she was accepted into the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, graduating in May 2016.
During her tenure at USC, Dr. Yener received a special certificate from the Special Care Dentistry Association, recognizing her outstanding care for patients with special needs.

Dr. Julia Hallisy is a native San Franciscan and majored in biological science at the University of San Francisco. In 1988, Dr. Hallisy received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry.

Teeth cleaning was very good especially because my teeth and gums are very sensitive, and the dental practitioner did an excellent job as well as making me feel comfortable. Dr. Yener performed examination following cleaning and was very knowledgeable about my history and recommended to me various options for ongoing dental care.

I was raised to believe that the planets align for a reason, and if you believe in science, you can understand why they do. After my first visit at ANCHOR DENTAL yesterday, I am now uncertain if I just lucked out when I searched for a dentist located at West Portal ( I wanted to take the MUNI train) or if meeting Esra Salihoglu Yener, DDS, PhD., was kismet!
From my initial contact with Sally, the receptionist, to my cleaning with Mary, my dental hygienist, I knew I was in good hands. The entire ANCHOR DENTAL was kind, patient with my chatty nature, and listened.
After this initial ANCHOR DENTAL experience with Esra and team, I will be recommending this practice to my young adult son, and I plan to back in June.
